The Abandoned Inn Crystal

General Armor Weapons Shields Wands

Please update your bookmarks if you bookmarked this link.

A crystal resides inside "The Abandoned Inn". Magical in nature the crystal draws many visitors and traders to the inn to look into the crystal and touch it.

The crystal hums and flashes a variety of sounds and colors.

These hums and colors represent all sorts of things. Interpretation of these hums and colored lights varies depending upon the kind of item held in your left hand.

Containers (Foods, Drinks), Wands, Magical Items

General Armor Weapons Shields Wands

brilliant golden light imbeddable
deep base note 1 use left
low resonant note 2 uses left
low mellow note 3 to 4 uses left
clear even note 5 to 8 uses left
pure high note 9 to 16 uses left
high ringing note 17 to 32 uses left
shrill piercing note above 32 uses left

The brilliant golden light means the item is imbeddable. Most magic items, weather weapons, armor, shields or wands or other magic items, will display this brilliant golden light. The tone that follows provides the real clue.

Also, pay close attention to items you appraise at the pawn shops. Pawnshops will tell you if an item is powerful ( imbeddable ) or is a magical artifact ( has a spell already imbedded ).

You ask the pawnbroker to appraise a glittering smoky topaz buckle.
The pawnbroker turns the buckle over in his hands a few times.
Kilron furrows his brow, saying, "Hmm, an interesting item of power. How's 552 silvers sound?"
You ask the pawnbroker to appraise a smooth monir seated monk statue.
The pawnbroker turns the statue over in his hands a few times.
Kilron furrows his brow, saying, "Hmm, an interesting item of power. How's 109 silvers sound?"

Both of those items are imbeddable items.
